There are so many brands of yoga mat on the market that it is often very difficult to choose which is right for you. Your yoga mat will prevent you from slipping while in poses such as the downward facing dog and the warrior. It will also cushion your body during lying poses such as the cobra and the corpse poses. Some brands of mats may be more suitable for your body or type of practice than others, so it is worth doing some research before you buy.
